We are thinking through possible locations for the new building. Because the current Main Campus building is located in a flood plain, it does not make the most sense to build right next to it as was our original plan. At this point we are favoring a location to the west of the Main Campus on land the camp owns and currently uses for farming. It would be somewhere in the left half of the field shown on the map below. Thank you for your continued prayers as we walk through this process!

An architect from Wichita is putting the final touches on a preliminary building plan. There is no hard and fast deadline, but some progress is being made. Please continue to pray.

We are grateful for the help we received from the architect we were working with, but he has done all he is able to do for now. We had started to think through the spaces in the building and what rooms would be adjacent to one another. We have not been able to draft a floor plan as of yet. Please pray with us as we try to figure out where to go from here.

We are working with an architect on plans for the new building. It's so nice to have someone who knows what he is doing as we begin to think through all the details! Please continue to pray for the Lord's wisdom and guidance on this project.

What is this "New Building" thing?

Ecclesiastes 7:18 It is good that you grasp one thing and also not let go of the other; for the one who fears God comes forth with both of them.

Most of the structures at the Main Campus have been here for years. Though we continue to maintain them, there is a place for an additional building to complement the existing accommodations. This new building would be used for summer staff meetings, family dormitories, weekend retreats, and as a staff union. The plan is to have several hotel-type units upstairs and a large room and kitchen downstairs. Please pray as plans are made for this new building.
